Ok.. so! I thought I would see how much ink was left in cartridges that we refill/recycle/throw way when our printers start flashing next to the appropriate empty cartridge.
I was really quite shocked at this little experiment! I was surprised and happy to see that when the Espon cartridge said it was empty, it was. What I was shocked at was how much colour pigment was left in my canon toners! 18g roughly of colour pigment.
I know this is not a straight pigment, it is pigment mixed with a polymer, but I am sure I can find a few uses for it in my studio.
I am hoping that Google will show me a few other than that I will have to invent my own.
I wonder how it would work as an embossing powder!
I would be interested however to know how much pigment is in brand new toner cartridges?
Describe my perfect day. When I saw this topic, it reminded of something I did a good 13 years ago, when I was living in Statford, after moving back when a relationship ended and soon after I left for Australia. I was still a chef, doing all kinds of crazy hours, I think it was during this period I worked for 3 months with out a day off. I did one of those visualisation exercises, writing out my perfect day. I can't remember all the things on the list, but looking back it feels as if I am more than half way there.
I am living my perfect day, every day. I am living my dream, and not a day goes past that I am not thankful. It is filled with all things I love. From getting up (not to an alarm), having time to enjoy my breakfast and coffee(not having to rush out the door) planning my day, being creative, maybe some product research, possibly some study, meetings with clients. ... more creativity. Mine is a simple life, lived without glamour and grandeur and I love it. Would I changes anything... yes, there is one thing that comes to mind that is missing from my perfect day list way back when! I am not living in a cottage in the country!
Three passions I have...
Nothing is what it seems! Or is it?
I came across this tonight, a day or so after I should have posted this blog! So.... I am not sure that it accurately would describe my personality... But I am very shy naturally, but I am always thinking, watching, learning!
Ten years ago, even 2 years ago I would have have been able to write this so much more easily as I used to love and follow sport. Now it does not really interest me apart from the All Black big games and 20/20 cricket... I feel like I am being a little harsh on this subject! Time moves on people change!
This has stumped me for a while.... for as much I want to go abroad. While I have listed the below destinations, it kind of felt like I was lying, as what I would like to do is travel NZ in more depth. So... I do kinda have a wish list - which changes on different days...... so in no particular order... my wish list, not necessarily going to do list!
So with saying all of the above my special place to visit (again) would be the South Island of New Zealand - for a month or more in a camper van ... yes sand flies and all! Oh while I am at it... Coromandel too.. always wanted to explore that area!
Don't leave home before you see the county! I can say that because I have left home before... now I would like to appreciate my own country a little more!
Wow.. that was as harder as I thought it was going to be!
I know it was supposed to be this day... but hey.. did not happen it is going to another.....
Worst Job, hmmm When I first thought of this topic a job came to mind. However when I thought about this position(job) it seemed unfair to judge it such as I look back now.
Now on to Best Job:
My Dream Job
Don't think I have any hidden talents, being a creative, an artist all my talents are pretty much on view.... daily lol. Maybe I should make something up, something fanciful. I wish I could say I could sing! or dance for that matter, but I can't. How ever I must say it is on my bucket list, the singing... not the dancing. I tried that when I was younger and unlike my sister I cannot keep time, find rhythm as for coordination forget it!
Hmmm, this blog is going to be an interesting write. When I first saw the topic, I thought "weird habits, I don't think I have any" I have always been different, think differently, act differently... But that is not weird just different! Maybe I guess anyone could look at me and say that is weird! I just live in my own mind, live my own live..so not being a great follower of societal rules, I probably don't see it. So maybe it is weird I don't watch the news, I know lots of people that don't either. So to me it is not such a weird thing! But possibly it is!
Up to date when this topic was posted, did plan to write a business blog but it did not happen!
Ah refreshing liquids -
My favourite drinks, I have to mention 4 of my staples in my day to day life.
Oh la la, when I saw this topic this morning... ohh I know what I am going to write about.
Childhood memory, ok... Going back to my South Island years. I feel like I should be telling a story, but I don't have any. My memories are more like flashes of moments. One such I remember fondly, is going to Shag Point, with my family and we were in a fishing competition. I can't remember what I caught or what anyone else I the family caught, I just remember winning a little sewing kit. I am sure my sister won something as well but I have no recollection of that what so ever. I do wonder if it was the first thing I ever won, being that it has stayed in my memories all these years, I must have been about 7 maybe.
Share your favourite food and the story behind it.
Favourite, food!!! That would have to custard! I love custard, don't know why just do. How ever I do have a custard story...apparently at a wedding when I was a mere toddler I was sat in high chair at the back of the church with a bowl of custard and not a peep was heard of of me for the entire ceremony.
So I thought I would join Sonya's (Cue Social Media's) 30 day blog challenge and believe me it will be a challenge! I joined because one of my main goals this year is my blogs postings, I have even made it part of my assignments for the business course I am doing.
SO...... Today's topic was not the ideal start for me.. I am not overly intrigued, compelled or driven by music, don't get me wrong I like it, I don't need it constantly.. silence is just fine thanks and silence it is for a great deal of my day. Therefore my strive to find it(music, different genre's), listen is not great. Don't ask me what is in the charts... I have not idea.. I don't list to the radio either...
In saying that there are definitely times when I love it and it is very beneficial that I live in a concrete house!
Getting back to the topic.. #playlist what is mine made up of ..... here are a few of my playlists inclusions.. first to mind genre's/songs when I started writing this.
