Ok.. so! I thought I would see how much ink was left in cartridges that we refill/recycle/throw way when our printers start flashing next to the appropriate empty cartridge.
I was really quite shocked at this little experiment! I was surprised and happy to see that when the Espon cartridge said it was empty, it was. What I was shocked at was how much colour pigment was left in my canon toners! 18g roughly of colour pigment.
I know this is not a straight pigment, it is pigment mixed with a polymer, but I am sure I can find a few uses for it in my studio.
I am hoping that Google will show me a few other than that I will have to invent my own.
I wonder how it would work as an embossing powder!
I would be interested however to know how much pigment is in brand new toner cartridges?
Describe my perfect day. When I saw this topic, it reminded of something I did a good 13 years ago, when I was living in Statford, after moving back when a relationship ended and soon after I left for Australia. I was still a chef, doing all kinds of crazy hours, I think it was during this period I worked for 3 months with out a day off. I did one of those visualisation exercises, writing out my perfect day. I can't remember all the things on the list, but looking back it feels as if I am more than half way there.
I am living my perfect day, every day. I am living my dream, and not a day goes past that I am not thankful. It is filled with all things I love. From getting up (not to an alarm), having time to enjoy my breakfast and coffee(not having to rush out the door) planning my day, being creative, maybe some product research, possibly some study, meetings with clients. ... more creativity. Mine is a simple life, lived without glamour and grandeur and I love it. Would I changes anything... yes, there is one thing that comes to mind that is missing from my perfect day list way back when! I am not living in a cottage in the country!
Three passions I have...
Nothing is what it seems! Or is it?
I came across this tonight, a day or so after I should have posted this blog! So.... I am not sure that it accurately would describe my personality... But I am very shy naturally, but I am always thinking, watching, learning!
Ten years ago, even 2 years ago I would have have been able to write this so much more easily as I used to love and follow sport. Now it does not really interest me apart from the All Black big games and 20/20 cricket... I feel like I am being a little harsh on this subject! Time moves on people change!
This has stumped me for a while.... for as much I want to go abroad. While I have listed the below destinations, it kind of felt like I was lying, as what I would like to do is travel NZ in more depth. So... I do kinda have a wish list - which changes on different days...... so in no particular order... my wish list, not necessarily going to do list!
So with saying all of the above my special place to visit (again) would be the South Island of New Zealand - for a month or more in a camper van ... yes sand flies and all! Oh while I am at it... Coromandel too.. always wanted to explore that area!
Don't leave home before you see the county! I can say that because I have left home before... now I would like to appreciate my own country a little more!
Wow.. that was as harder as I thought it was going to be!
